Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish

I can't recall when was the first time I heard this phrase but when I actually watched the video of Steve Jobs delivering the commencement speech at a Stanford graduation ceremony, I saw myself playing it over and over again. It is truly enlightening, inspirational and in summary, the three stories that Jobs shared in this speech will make you realise that :

1. A lot of things will happen in life and they won't always be good. You'll not understand why some of these things/events take place. You won't be able to connect the dots in looking forward, but when you believe that the dots will connect somewhere down the road in the future, this will give you the confidence to trust your gut.

2. To do great work, is to love what you do. If you haven't found it, keep looking and don't settle.

3. Your time on earth is limited. So start living your own life, don't waste it living in someone else's. Don't let other people's opinions drown you. Have the courage to follow your heart and intitution. And to become better every single day, STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH!

A few more days of agony

Remember I wrote in my last few posts that I'll be working hard before the trip at the end of the year? Hard indeed I worked (in fact am still working hard!) I've not had uninterrupted weekends lately and had been burning the midnight oil at work..But I' told myself it'll be over soon and it's gonna be less than a week to my trip. Will be flying off to Paris and a few cities in Italy - Venice, Rome, Florence, Pisa and Milan. Transitting in Dubai for one nite on the way back. Yeay! Watch out for my entries on the trip. It'll be full of trips tips and advice. Something like how I blogged about my previous trips. Been getting good feedback on those blog entries :) Till then, oh God! I just wish that I can go through these few days with minor physical and mental damages!

Buat kerja

Was in Putrajaya today for a meeting with the client when I saw these banners hung on the walls of the Palace of Justice’s entrance. ‘Buat Kerja’?? Hmm..I wonder what are they doing all this while if such big banners have to be put up kan?

New assigment

Boss said I will be joining a new team for a new assignment with a BIG organisation this Monday. Dunno what to expect but hope it is interesting coz I get to ogle at and probably brush shoulders with celebs (and maybe take pictures of them - hmm..will that be considered unprofessional? hehe) for at least 5 months. International and local celebs okay ;)

There is gonna be a big difference from my current government client I bet! Hey, I wonder if I have 'va-va-voom' clothes to wear for this assignment. I definitely have to dress a bit trendier from my current semi-formal attire. Hmm, guess I need to head to Edmunser, Dorothy Perkins, G2000 this weekend ;) Yeay!
